Guild Wars is set to be released by February 2005. The game has been progressing tremendously within the past few months, yet the game was delayed from its original late 2004 release due to the development team’s focus on creating a very polished and extensive game.

The release of Guild Wars in early 2005 seems appropriate as it is currently in alpha testing and it appears to be moving along quite nicely. Balancing will most likely be the greater part of the next few months. As it is, individuals who pre order the game will be able to participate within the ‘weekend beta’ program (first weekend of every month, pre-order owners are given the chance to play).
